I address you folks, though, with an entirely different agenda.
I was recently in Belgium, and in a visit to the supermarket I noticed a grocery list left behind in my cart by a previous customer. Being a foreigner I found it more fascinating than a local might have, and placed it in my pocket. I have since returned home (Tel Aviv) and recently encountered an abandoned list in a cart here as well, which I collected.

I decided to take on a documentation project à la Sophie Calle and collect grocery lists from as many locations as I can to later form a current image of world wide capitalist life.

I decided to address you folks, as you represent an amalgam of cultures. If any of you feel like participating in this project, It?d be awesome if you could send me an authentic supermarket list in your native language, stating the language, and if possible (but not necessary), a translation into English.
It is very important that it be a real list, not one conducted for the project. Perhaps an old list of yours or one you find in a cart written by a stranger.

I'm not yet sure what I will do with the lists once gathered. I will consult and brainstorm with different ppl form the art scene here and am,of course open to interesting ideas.
If you feel like participating, message me and I'll give you my Tel Aviv address.

Have a great day, folks.
Meira
